Responsibilities:
- Researching references and resources required to produce the assets of the game;
- Creating and presenting style and concept moodboards;
- Sketching digital concept designs and key elements of the visual style;
- With input from the Art Director and Leads, help to define the unique visual style for the game’s key art/illustrations;
- Adding lighting and shading effects to all elements, ensuring consistency in color, intensity and lighting levels;
- Follow and execute on briefs given to you by respective teams;
- Maintaining production documentation;
- Advising on new technologies;
- Problem solving for both creative and technical issues;
- Adhering to the production schedule;
- Create optimized graphics for final engineering handoff;
- Designing promotional materials, packages, posters and websites for the launch of the game;
- Have experience working with teams on long-term projects;
- Teach others tips and tricks you have learned;
- Ability to work remotely and independently;
- Creativity.
What we expect:
- Proficiency with a drawing tablet;
- Knowledge and experience with Adobe Photoshop;
- Knowledge and experience Adobe Illustrator;
- Good spoken English;
- Desire to improve.
Valuable Additional Skills:
- Knowledge and experience with video and effect editing software (Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects or alternatives);
- Knowledge of at least one source control system (Git, Perforce, SVN);
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum workflow;
- History of participating in game jams;
- Playing video and board games.
